Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana is a great place to go to college. Bozeman is one of the best places to go to school if you like to ski or snowboard. Bozeman is located within 30 miles of Bridger Bowl ski area and 50 miles of Big Sky Montana . The university has classes in skiing. It is a great place to go if you like to ski. Most of the locals skied at Bridger Bowl. You could get out of your morning classes and be up on the ski hill for a half day of skiing.
The housing at the colleges was quite expensive. You typically had to live in the dorm your first year and buy a meal pass. People really got sick of the food so you don't want to pay for three meals a day. Also, the housing off campus was much less expensive. The university offers classes in just about everything. You can major in premed, business, engineering, or architecture. The school is known for its engineering program and employers like Boeing recruit at the university.
The town of Bozeman used to be a cattle town. However, the town has developed into a trendy area due to the recreation opportunities in the area. You are only about 60 miles away from Yellowstone Park . The town has attracted some famous residents. I once saw Ted Turner in the Bozeman airport. I heard a voice I had recognized and turned around to see Ted Turner walking up the stairs. Ted has a restaurant in Bozeman called Montana Grill. I hear the food is good. He also spoke at my graduation. The town of Bozeman has a Christmas Stroll where merchants stay open late and people can walk around town and look at all the stores.
