Russians say they can stop the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico

The Russians say they can stop the oil leak:

A Russian submarine captain has said his sub could stop the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico according to the following BBC news article:

Why is no one in charge asking for help? This sub may be the answer to fix the problem. Why are we not getting help from other countries more experienced in oil clean up? It is obvious that BP and the government are not doing a very good job. The more I watch the news the frustrated I become with our government’s response to the problem. Have we lost our common sense to deal with problems? In addition, thirty countries offered to help with skimmer boats, but their offer was not accepted.

BP and the government have excluded the press from the area. What are they hiding? They probably don’t want the public to know that they are unable to fix the problem. You would think BP would want to fix this problem fast to avoid further liability. Maybe I am missing something. Why not give the Russians a try? Our government and BP have failed so far at finding a solution costing the South dearly. Maybe the Russians can help the South since Washington is not doing much to solve the problem.
