A Montana Legislator is seeking to repeal the state’s medical marijuana act. Since the act was passed there has been boom in the dispensary business. Some towns have tried to enact ordinances prohibiting the sale of medical marijuana. The intent of the original law was to allow chronically ill people or people in constant pain and their caregivers to have access to a minimum amount of plants and marijuana with a card obtained by visiting a doctor. Other states like Colorado and California have similar laws. The Montana law was not very clear on the process leaving towns and law enforcement on their own in dealing with the application and enforcement of the vague law.
The law was actually quite short. Here is a link to act:

Since the law was enacted, there has been a doctor punished for not spending enough time with the patients at a clinic, major crimes related to the sale and distribution, and fire bombings of medical marijuana clinics. Some banks are refusing to open business accounts for the clinics because on the basis that their business violate federal law.

A possible solution would be to have the state sell marijuana at the state liquor store. A distribution process would already be set for the sale and distribution. It would help those people in chronic pain. Do you favor the repeal?
