Use a wet vac to clean up the oil spill?

Use some common sense and get a bunch of wet vacuums to clean up marsh? It is the only common sense I have heard about cleaning the spill out of the marsh and it not coming from BP or the government.

Plaquesmines Parish President Billy Nungesser is the only one on the news with any common sense. Speaking on AC360 last night, he said he took some people out the other day on a barge and used several wet vacuums purchased from the local hardware store to pick up oil in the marsh. There must be red tap involved because he said he was not supposed to do this but it worked great. He did it because BP was not doing anything. It has been over 50 days. He also said they should have had skimmer from Holland and other countries out there from day one. I agree. BP is not providing a list of people harmed either.

No one with BP or the government is using these simple ideas. He is also requesting that someone else take charge of the spill because BP has not done enough. It makes sense to me. If someone causes an accident and has such a bad record that they don’t care about the safety of the rig to begin with then how are they going to do an adequate job to clean up the spill.

Is BP really this incompetent or are they being advised by their lawyers and accounts not talk or provide information or do anything. Do they think it will admit liability or it will cost too much and they need to wait the claims out? I don’t know. It sound like BP will take some heat from the President this week when he will push for an escrow account and the CEO of BP will testify before Congress. There have already been some damaging emails indicating that BP was just motivated by profit and was not concerned about safety on the rig. It will be interesting to see if the CEO of BP will take plead the Fifth Amendment. Do you think he will?
